BLU Products unveils Tegra 3-running Quattro 4.5, 4.5 HD and 5.7 HD

BLU Products unveils Tegra 3running Quattro 45, 45 HD and 57 HD

It was just weeks ago that BLU Products' smartphones were largely dual-core models like the Vivo 4.65 HD. The company clearly wants to ramp things up, as it's kicking off the Quattro line based around Android 4.0 and the quad-core, 1.5GHz Tegra 3. At the entry level is the $250 Quattro 4.5, which includes a qHD display at its namesake size as well as a 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot. The next step is, unusually, the biggest: the $300 Quattro 5.7 HD (what you see above) keeps the same storage, but jumps to the extra-large category while upgrading to a 720p display and an 8-megapixel camera. BLU sees the $350 Quattro 4.5 HD as the real darling. It beats its non-HD cousin with a curved, 720p screen touting Gorilla Glass, and throws in a larger 16GB capacity as well as a more light-sensitive 8-megapixel camera. The two smaller models ship to the US early this month, to be followed by the 5.7-inch behemoth in late March. When they arrive, every one of them will carry unlocked HSPA+ 3G that supports both AT&T and T-Mobile.

Computer Forensics - Finding Out What The Criminals Did Making ...

Computer forensics is like the CSI research programs on the tv screen. Using technologies and high level techniques, a computer forensic scientist can construct a possible crime using the data that certain computer systems. This information can include hidden directories, records, email tracks and other related indications.

Computer Forensics could be the study of computers or computer related data in relation to a study by a enforcement agency for use within a court of law. While this technology might be as old as computers themselves, the developments in technology are constantly studying this research.

It is much simpler to observe the thing that was done when, though by whom continues to be problematic, while all computer languages are made with zeros and ones. Forensic science has done well to match the job of tracing and tracking what?s done and creation of a schedule in an try to reconstruct a possible crime. While it is possible to clean and remove data from a tough drive, most people only believe a delete key really removed the data. In actuality, the delete key simply removed the file area from an file and the actual data remains safely on the system. It?s around the data recovery skills of the forensic computer personnel to restore and capture that data without modification.

Computer forensics may be used to track emails, instant messaging and nearly every other kind of computer related communications. This can be necessary, especially in the world where computers and information travel around the world in seconds. Supply sniffers could practically be placed within a data flow and give info on what is running through the community instantly. That is really phenomenal considering the millions upon millions of data packets moving through anybody area of the community.

Computer forensic science is a career an interesting niche in the law enforcement field that?s seldom considered. The field is recognized as by many to be wide open proper with the effort to understand the skills, because it is fairly new. Unlike many computer relevant jobs, a computer forensic consultant will not be outsourced to a state on the other side of the world. The privacy of the info is just too sensitive and painful to allow it to travel around the world just to truly save a little money. visit link

We Must Address 2 Mitzvos - Yeshiva World News

Talks are underway between Naftali Bennett of Bayit HaYehudi and Yair Lapid of Yesh Atid towards reaching agreement on the ?share the burden? issue. If the dati leumi and secular parties reach agreement, in all likelihood, Bennett?s next battle will be with some of the rabbonim who represent the dati leumi tzibur.

Following the release of the Plesner Committee report a number of dati leumi rabbonim spoke out harshly against the committee?s recommendations, which are in line with the Lapid plan to compel chareidim to serve in the military. Rabbonim who signed their names to that document include Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Elyakim Levanon, Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, and Rabbi Tzvi Yisrael Tau.

The Rabbonim Shlita at the time spoke of the ?spiritual threats? facing the State of Israel and the need ?to increase limud Torah sevenfold?.

In a related matter, Rabbi Chaim Druckman Shlita, a leading posek in the dati leumi community has met with Naftali Bennett following the elections. The rav was unwilling to divulge details of that meeting but told the press ?I rely on Bennett?. When asked to comment on his vision of ?sharing the burden,? Bennett is quoted by Yisrael Hayom as saying that ?we must address two mitzvos here, learning Torah and serving in the IDF.?

Yisrael Hayom quotes persons close to Rav Druckman as saying ?things may change down the line but for now, Lapid takes the matter to an extreme.?

PST: Newcastle sinks Chelsea

Newcastle may be much improved after spending their winter window hitting ?Buy It Now? on French soccer Ebay, but it?s difficult to look beyond Chelsea when trying to explain today?s result. The Blues allowed themselves to go behind on a Jonas Gutierrez header before taking a 2-1 lead through Frank Lampard and Juan Mata just past the hour mark. Yet thanks to two goals from new midfielder Moussa Sissoko, Chelsea leaves St. James Park 3-2 losers and destined to be pulled back into a race for third.

The Blues came into this weekend action with a four-point lead on Spurs for fourth, but returning to London without a point, they?re dangerously close to being pulled into a second successive fight for Champions League. With a draw from Everton (against Aston Villa) and a win by Arsenal (over Stoke City), Chelsea?s now only four-points away from sixth.

Rafa Benitez has been terrible ??we know this?? but Chelsea?s a team that has always had a strong player leadership culture, one that was able to carry the likes of Avram Grant to a Champions League final. Didier Drogba is gone, but Frank Lampard, John Terry, and Petr Cech are not only still there, they were on the field when Chelsea gave up today?s lead. No matter what you think of Benitez, it?s hard to see how he got in the way of this win, particularly when a bench thinned by injury, suspension, and Cup of Nations left him with no meaningful way to tinker.

Beyond Ben?tez or the wane of Chelsea leadership, today?s issue is one pundits and followers have been harping on all season. As Moussa Sissoko scored a late double in his second Premier League match, you saw the type of drive, strength, and resolve that would bolster an underperforming Chelsea midfield. How do Spurs end up with a player like Sissoko when taking a flyer on him (or any other player like him) would cost Chelsea a fraction of their transfer budget?

Late in this match, as he became the most important player on the field, you couldn?t help but ask how he was allowed to do that? How can this player that had struggled of late for Toulouse be dropped into the league and, a week later, win matches against the European champion?

MORE: United?s flawed, fabulous season continues at Fulham

Obviously there are a lot of problems at Chelsea right now, but if that question even needs to be asked, those problems might run deeper than we had previously thought. Through most of this season Chelsea?s been a troubled if stably third place side, but while giving up today?s lead they showed the type of perpetual vulnerability that defined last year?s slide. Now it?s worth asking whether the Blues are much better than the team that finished sixth last season.

Of course, there is a big difference. Last year?s slide was make possible but Roberto Di Matteo putting all of the team?s eggs into the Champions League basket. What?s this year?s excuse?

There?s also the possibility Newcastle?s come together. They have Sissoko, Yoann Gouffran and Mathieu Debuchy. Yoann Cabaye is healthy, as is Steven Taylor at the back. This team is better than a 15th place side, even if they?ve rarely looked it.

MORE, EPL Roundup: Fellaini England?s best?

But Chelsea was up 2-1. They are the more talented side. They have the players to close out that game. Chelsea should have taken full points.

For the last two months we?ve likened Chelsea to Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde, but with the team falling back into a race for their Champions League lives, the pressure mounts to find a cure to their constant bipolar transformations. Why is Mr. Hyde showing up more often than Dr. Jeykll?

Why Your Investments Are Not As Diversified As You Think | The ...

Behavioral Economics - Avoid These Decision Traps When Choosing Investments
This is a guest post by Hank Coleman. Opinions belong solely to the guest post writer and do not reflect Jemstep.

Like most investors, you probably think that your investments are diversified. But are they really? When was the last time that you checked which individual stocks your mutual funds owned?

A lot of investors do not realize that many of the mutual funds they own invest in many of the same stocks from the most popular companies on the market. According to a recent report in USA Today, more than 700 stock mutual funds own shares of Apple stock. In fact, more than 400 mutual funds have Apple as its largest position.

The Stock Market Darlings Ruin Us

Despite Apple?s recent slump ? its stock is down more than 20% from its highs ? most of us own shares of Apple whether we realize it or not. It?s found in popular mutual funds like Fidelity Contrafund, T. Rowe Price Growth Stock, and American Funds Growth Fund of America. It?s in our pension plans, in exchange traded funds, index funds, and the individual shares we gobble up as investors.

If you own shares of an S&P 500 Index and the Nasdaq 100 Index, then you own a lot of shares of Apple. Last year, Apple comprised over 17% of the Nasdaq 100 index, dwarfing the other stocks in the index. Shares of Apple now also account for almost 20% of the S&P 500?s tech sector.

Apple is not the only stock in which many people are overweighted. The same can be said for General Electric, Coca-Cola, McDonald?s and many others. There is a significant danger of holding too much of a certain stock without realizing it.

Fund Overlap Is A Big Problem

With so many mutual funds owning shares of the same companies, it is too easy to become overweighted in a single stock ? without even realizing it.

There?s a danger when a company?s stock becomes so popular that everyone wants to own it. You might think you?re diversifying by owning many mutual funds, but those funds? holdings overlap with each other. Investors compound the problem when we purchase individual shares of these popular stocks in our own trading accounts. We?re sometimes shocked to discover that we?re not as diversified as we should be.

The Danger Of Not Being Diversified With Your Investments

Most investors understand the importance of diversifying their stock, bond, and mutual fund holdings. Diversifying keeps investors from suffering a more devastating loss if one stock suffers a setback.

Classic finance theory tells us that a company?s stock price is the present value of its future earnings. Yet the stock is still susceptible to market risk, headline risk, political risk, credit risk, and other unsystematic specific risks that will affect one company and not the market as a whole.

You cannot avoid systematic or market risk, but you can minimize other risks by diversifying your holdings. Without diversification, you increase the likelihood that one stock?s poor performance could bring down your total investment portfolio. Diversification is a way to protect your returns from being skewed by one outlier.

Look At Your Investments As A Whole

Examine how each of your mutual fund holdings and individual stock positions overlaps with one another. Consider any pensions or 401(k) retirement plans and their holdings as well. What do they invest in? Are you already investing in those stocks or shares in other holdings? Are your individual stocks over-represented in your portfolio because they are in a popular stock index? These are all things that you have to consider when finding out if you are truly diversified.

Scan Your Mutual Funds For Overlap

Scan your mutual fund holdings online to ensure that you?re not suffering from too much mutual fund overlap. Jemstep has an excellent tool that can help you screen your mutual funds and their holdings.

Do you think that your investments are diversified? Do you know what your mutual funds are holding? Your hard work could be negated if that large position takes a nosedive. A portfolio making a decent rate of return could struggle to keep up with inflation if your largest holding suffers a set back.

Arizona is back to it's typical winter weather and I am glad! I thought I would freeze before it warmed up again. Gosh, I know I am so spoiled here with some of you really in the cold weather. Here are some pics from last summer I never got around to posting for you. Just a little fun at my house.?

?"I'll just play doctor by myself I guess."

?"Playing house by myself isn't that much fun either; where are those girls?"

The littlest had mercy on him and came out to play. It's not fun to hide when no one is looking for you anyway.

4 arrested for defying San Francisco's nudity ban

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? Four protesters were arrested entirely in the buff as they took to the steps of San Francisco City Hall in a brazen challenge of the city's ban on public nudity on Friday, the first day it went into effect.

One woman and three men ? one wearing just a mesh thong ? were taken into custody as about a dozen other protesters in various states of undress paraded around with painted slogans on their bodies, holding up signs with messages such as "The Human Body is Beautiful."

Police gave them a 15-minute warning to disperse or put pants on before officers arrested those who failed to cover themselves. The protesters said their arrest would advance the cause of "body freedom."

"No matter what, we're going to continue practicing body freedom," said Gypsy Taub, a mother of two who hosts a local cable program devoted to the nudist cause. "In a society that's repressed and crazy, that glorifies war and at the same time criminalizes the human body ... nudity is a political statement."

In December, the Board of Supervisors voted 7-4 in favor of the ordinance, which prohibits exposed genitals in most public places, including streets, sidewalks and public transit. A federal judge ruled Tuesday that nudity was not protected free speech and upheld San Francisco's ban on most displays of public nudity.

Protesters vowed to appeal the judge's decision.

Police spokesman Albie Esparza said the arrests were simply an attempt to enforce compliance with the law, which the city enacted after residents complained about people in various stages of undress.

"We're not here to arrest and cite people if we don't have to, but if we have to, we will enforce the law," he said. "We want to admonish as many people as possible and try to gain compliance."

Activists challenging the measure also had argued that the ordinance was unfair because it grants exceptions for nudity at permitted public events such as the city's gay pride parade. They complained that forcing people to cover up would undermine San Francisco's reputation as a city without inhibitions.
